Kalmkarma Relaxing Yoga in East Kent
Hatha yoga with a therapeutic approach.
Welcome to Kalmkarma Yoga. I am Natasha, and I am delighted to share a nurturing space where you can unwind, reconnect and restore balance in both body and mind.
My classes blend therapeutic Hatha yoga, Yin yoga, gentle Vinyasa flow, breathwork and guided meditation to support deep relaxation, mobility, emotional resilience and overall wellbeing.
Whether you are completely new to yoga or have been practising for years, my sessions are designed to help you move, breathe and feel better
My teaching style
I teach using a therapeutic Hatha approach, drawing on over 20 years of experience in Vipassana meditation, Thai massage, energy healing and intuitive movement. In every class, I guide you through:
-
Flowing sequences to warm the muscles and build stamina
-
Vinyasa-style (yang) movement that links breath with motion
-
Soothing Yin yoga holds to release fascia and support deep cellular relaxation
-
Pranayama, mudra and mantra to enhance energy flow and inner focus
-
A guided relaxation or meditation to bring calm and completeness to each session
I often include free-flowing movement and whole-body shaking, which stimulate the lymphatic system, detoxify cells and help release emotional tension. My teaching is intuitive and responsive, shaped by the energy and needs of the group

Yin Yoga – A Deeper, Slower Practice
Yin yoga is a slow, meditative style where I guide you to hold postures for around three minutes. This encourages softness, stillness and deep release within the connective tissues, helping to improve flexibility, joint mobility, emotional awareness and nervous system regulation.
Yin beautifully complements more active (yang) styles, creating balance throughout the whole body.

My Yoga Journey and Training
I have been practising yoga for over 20 years and teaching for 15. I completed my 500-hour training with the British Wheel of Yoga, which gave me a strong foundation in anatomy, yoga philosophy, asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra and meditation.
My love of yoga has taken me to India many times, where I studied in ashrams and meditation retreats, including the Krishnamacharya Mandiram in Chennai and the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala. I have also trained in Thai massage in Bangkok and completed Vipassana meditation courses in Nepal. These experiences continue to shape the way I practise and teach.
How I Began Practising Yoga
My journey started during my travels in Australia in 2000, where meditation helped me manage panic attacks and find emotional stability. When I returned to the UK, yoga became a central part of my life, bringing clarity, peace and a new sense of direction. This transformation inspired me to train as a teacher so that I could support others in finding balance and inner calm through yoga and meditation.
